The Manotick Horticultural Society was established in 1930 and is one of 21 societies that make up District 2 of the Ontario Hulticultural Society. We are a membership of over one hundred and sixty amateur and professional gardeners who share a passion for gardening, an interest in growing plants for the beautification of our community, the preservation of the environment, and education in areas of horticulture to people of all ages. The added bonus is we get to meet many wonderful people who share the same passion.
Our symbol is the Stella d’Oro Daylily — Gold self, petals curl back slightly, classic miniature longblooming daylily. Blooms June – September. Grow in full sun or partial shade in humus rich soil.
